Flamingo Park Homes for Sale

The Historic Neighborhoods of West Palm Beach

Flamingo Park is a living, breathing, historical neighborhood in West Palm Beach! Most of the single-family homes were built in the 1920’s in the stye of Addison Mizner, and his proteges. The historic homes of Flamingo Park are recognized by their architecture – with Spanish Mission, Mediterranean Revival, and Ranch-style layouts being the predominant style of the early 20th century.

Common features of homes in Flamingo Park include:

  • Frame vernacular designs
  • Hardwood floors
  • Large, open room spaces
  • “Florida Rooms”, or spaces with lots of natural light, used as a place to relax
  • French doors, in the front and back of the home
  • Open balconies
  • Cottages and suites on site
  • Beautiful outdoor space
  • Oversized swimming pools
  • At least one or multiple fireplaces

Flamingo Park is on the National Register of Historic Places, preserving many of the homes in their unique style and characteristics. There is no homeowner’s association (HOA), but the Flamingo Park Neighborhood Association is an active, volunteer group of area homeowners. Getting involved in your local NA is one of the best ways to connect with your neighborhood, and meet your neighbors!

Flamingo Park’s boundaries are from Park Place to the north, and south to Belvedere; from Parker Ave to the west to Dixie Hwy to the east. Located within Flamingo Park are some really cool attractions, including the Armory Art Gallery, formerly known as the Old West Palm Beach National Guard Armory.

The Dixie Hwy corridor south of Okeechobee Road, and to the east of Flamingo Park is also booming – we’ve seen restaurants, art galleries, home design and architectural firms spring up throughout the area in the past few years.
