If you haven’t done it yet, check out the Grassy Waters Preserve this month, and experience the Everglades in our very own backyard!
Many people – even the residents of West Palm Beach – do not realize that this 23 square-mile natural preserve at the end of Northlake Blvd serves as their city’s primary above-ground source of water! The natural preserve is jointly managed by the City of West Palm and the state of Florida.
At the Preserve, you can bike, walk, or run dozens of trails, or explore the estuary by kayak. Bring the kids for a rich educational experience, and be sure to check out the public calendar for classes, special events, and guided tours.
Some of the events include “Marsh Critters Dipnetting”, “Breakfast with the Birds Hike”, tours, horticultural lessons, and so much more!
